Thrills, Skills, Dani Pedrosa Spills: The MotoGP Maestro

Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle racer Daniel Dani Pedrosa Ramal was born on September 29, 1985, and he ended his regular competition career following the 2018 season. He was raised in the nearby community of Castellar del Vallès. He won the 125cc world championship in 2003, the 250cc world championship in 2004 (becoming the youngest winner ever), and the 125cc world championship again in 2005.

Pedrosa rides for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing as a test and development rider. He made a comeback to racing with KTM in 2021, competing in the Styrian Grand Prix in Austria as a wildcard rider. He then made two appearances in 2023, finishing sixth and seventh at Jerez and twice in fourth at Misano.

Pedrosa, who has 31 MotoGP victories and 112 podiums to his name, is most recognized for his stint as the runner-up in the championship in the MotoGP class during his tenure with the Repsol Honda Team in 2007, 2010, and 2012.

The Spanish Circuito de Jerez's Curva Dry Sac corner was renamed Curva Dani Pedrosa (or Dani Pedrosa Corner) in his honor in 2019. He is regarded as the greatest rider in the history of the MotoGP who has never taken home the World Championship. Pedrosa drove for the FFF Racing Team in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe in 2022.
