Motorcycle Full Leather Suit Safety Features
The Tyro is a full leather motorcycle suit for track days and fast road riding. It has CE Level 2 armor and a cowhide shell. Here is what keeps you covered.
- Main seams have two or three rows of strong bonded nylon thread.
- Removable CE Level 2 armor sits at the shoulders, elbows, knees and hips. It meets EN 1621-1:2012.
- TPU-reinforced metal protectors sit on the outside of the shoulders and knees.
- TPU sliders guard the elbows. The TPU knee sliders can be replaced.
- A removable back protector covers the spine. It is EN 1621-2 compatible.
- A double layer of leather runs from the seat to the thigh.
- Semi auto-lock YKK coil zippers close the suit.
Outer Layer
- The shell is 1.2–1.3 mm cowhide. It is drum-dyed and milled, so it stays soft.
- Kevlar stretch inserts and accordion leather panels let the suit flex.
- Screen-printed graphics in black and red.

- Neoprene at the back of the neck feels soft on the skin.
- A 3D air vent panel at the back of the collar helps airflow.

EN 1621-1:2012 is the European test standard for limb armor in motorcycle gear. Armor that passes it is rated Level 1 or Level 2. Level 2 lets less impact force pass through. The Tyro suit has removable Level 2 armor at the shoulders, elbows, knees and hips. These are the spots that often touch the ground first in a slide. The back protector is EN 1621-2 compatible.
Custom Size is one of the Size options for the Tyro suit. Select it, check out, and note your order number. Next, open the measurement form and type in that number with your body measurements. You will enter height, chest girth, waist, hip, sleeve length, waist length (down the back from the collar), external leg length and crotch to ground. The standard shell is 1.2–1.3 mm cowhide. It is drum-dyed, so the color runs through the hide and small scuffs show less. Cowhide is a strong, hard-wearing choice for road and track. At the order step you can switch to Monaco leather or kangaroo leather instead. Kangaroo is lighter for its strength. Pick the one that suits how and where you ride.
Yes. The speed hump is your choice: no hump, standard, ventilated or hydro. Perforation can be left off, or added at the chest, the front or across the full suit. More holes mean more airflow on hot days. You can also add a removable lining, a thermal lining for cold mornings or an extra knee slider. All of these are set in the product options before checkout.
A 1-piece suit has no waist gap, so it is the usual choice for track days. A 2-piece suit splits at the waist, and the pants close to the jacket with silver snap buttons. That makes it easier to put on and to wear the jacket alone on the road. See more options in the
