FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The three jackets use cowhide, goatskin or sheepskin, about 0.9-1.1 mm thick. Each design has its own leather. Cowhide is firm and strong, and it softens as you wear it. Goatskin has a little grain and feels tough. Sheepskin is soft and light from the first day. All three jackets are brown, which gives the classic flight jacket look from the film.
Choose Custom Size on the product page. Then measure your chest at the widest point, your waist, your shoulders from seam to seam, and your sleeve from shoulder to wrist. Wear a thin shirt while you measure, and keep the tape snug. The guide on how to measure your size shows each point step by step. The jacket is then cut to your numbers.
Pick the G-1 bomber for the classic flight jacket look. Pick the classic aviator if you want a plain jacket for daily wear. Pick the jacket with naval pilot patches if you want the patched look from the film. All three are brown and come with the same size and lining options. Think about where you will wear it most, then choose the style that fits.
You can choose a regular lining, a sublimated lining or no lining. A sublimated lining is printed with a design. You can upload your own design for it and add notes to your order. No lining keeps the jacket lighter on warm days. A regular lining slides on easily over a shirt or a thin sweater. Pick your lining in the options before you add the jacket to your cart.
Wipe off dust with a soft, dry cloth after you wear it. For a small mark, use a damp cloth and let the jacket dry at room temperature. Keep it away from heaters and direct sun, which can fade brown leather. Hang it on a wide, padded hanger so the shoulders keep their shape. Use a leather conditioner from time to time to keep the leather soft.
