The standard leather is drum-dyed, milled cowhide. It is 1.2-1.3 mm thick. Drum-dyeing lets the color soak deep into the hide. Milling makes the leather softer. When you order, you can also pick Monaco leather or kangaroo leather. Kangaroo is lighter than cowhide. All three choices use the same cut, armor pockets and stitching. Pick the one that suits the feel you want.
The suit has carbon-reinforced metal protectors on the outside of the shoulders and knees. They sit over the leather at points that often touch the ground in a fall. Under them, removable CE Level 2 armor sits inside the suit. The elbows have TPU sliders instead. The knee sliders are made of TPU too. You can replace them when they wear down.
