Jonathan Rea 1 Racing Gloves Team Livery Race Gloves
Each pair in this range is inspired by one World Superbike season Jonathan Rea raced, from 2019 to 2026. The colors and sponsor-style graphics follow that year. Every pair uses black and red, and some add white, blue, green or tan. Sizes fit men and women.
Leather Collection has made leather gear since 2009. Each glove is cut from cowhide, 0.8 to 0.9 mm thick. The thin leather keeps the glove easy to bend.
Protection - knuckle guards that flex, sliders on the palm and fingers, and a strong panel between the thumb and index finger.
Closure - a Velcro wrist strap, with fingers pre-curved to hold the grips.
Sizing - XS to 3XL in a standard fit. There is no custom size for gloves.
Buying Guidance
How do I choose a size? Measure around your hand at the knuckles and check the Size Guide. Where can I get help? The customer service page answers size and order questions.
His Kawasaki gloves cover 2019, 2020 and 2023. They use black and red, and some add green or white. These match the suits and jackets from the same seasons. If you want blue instead, look at his Yamaha years from 2024 and 2025. The 2026 pair moves to Honda colors. Each product page names its year, so you can match the gloves to the rest of your gear.
Race gloves should feel snug when new. Your fingertips should just touch the end of each finger. There should be no loose leather in the palm. Cowhide gives a little with wear, so a close fit at the start is normal. Measure around your hand at the knuckles, without the thumb, and compare with the size chart. The how to measure guide shows how.
Palm sliders are hard pads on the heel of the hand. In a fall, riders often put a hand out first. The slider lets the hand slide across the ground instead of grabbing it. These gloves also have sliders on the fingers. Knuckle guards cover the back of the hand, and a strong panel sits between the thumb and index finger. A Velcro strap keeps the glove on.
Yes. They are race gloves, but they work on any ride. The 0.8 to 0.9 mm cowhide is thin enough to feel the levers. The pre-curved fingers sit well on the grips, so your hands tire less. On cold days, thin race gloves let in more wind than winter gloves. Many riders keep a warmer pair for cold weather and use these the rest of the year.
Take the gloves off and let them dry at room temperature. Keep them away from heaters, radiators and hair dryers, because heat can make the leather hard. Stuff each finger with a little paper towel to help them keep their shape. Once dry, rub in a thin coat of leather balm. The leather care instructions explain this in more detail.
