The jacket is cut from 1.2-1.3 mm cowhide. The leather is drum-dyed, so the color goes through the hide, not just the top. It is then milled, which softens it and gives a light grain. This weight is common for race jackets. It is thick enough to resist scuffs in a slide, yet it bends well when you tuck in on the bike.
Inside, there is removable CE Level 2 armor at the shoulders and elbows, rated to EN 1621-1:2012. A removable back protector, EN 1621-2 compatible, covers the spine.
