FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The cowhide is 0.8-0.9 mm thick. That is thin enough to let you feel the brake and clutch levers. It is still firm enough to stand up to daily rubbing on the grips. The thumb and index finger area has an extra layer of leather on top, since that spot wears the fastest. Behind the leather, an aramid Kevlar lining adds a second layer.
The carbon guards are hard shells sewn over the knuckles. They spread out the force of a bump or a scrape across a wider area. A dual-compound guard sits with them and has small air intakes, so the back of the hand stays cooler. The knuckle area also flexes, so you can make a fist with ease. These guards add strength, but no glove can stop every injury.
Measure around your palm at the knuckles, without the thumb. Then compare it with the glove size chart. The gloves come in sizes XS to 3XL and fit men and women. These are riding gloves, so they are meant to fit close. If you are unsure between two sizes, ask the team through the customer service page before you order.
Sunlight is the main cause of fading in colored leather. Store the gloves in a drawer or bag, not on a sunny shelf or the seat of your bike. Wipe off dirt with a damp, soft cloth after each ride. Let them dry at room heat. Every few months, use a clear leather conditioner. Test it on a small spot first, so it does not darken the blue or the white.
