Safety Features
- This Scott Redding 2017 MotoGP suit is inspired by his season with the Ducati Pramac team.
- Removable CE Level 2 armor (EN 1621-1:2012) protects the shoulders, elbows, knees and hips.
- A removable back protector, EN 1621-2 compatible, sits along the spine.
- Outside, carbon- and TPU-reinforced metal protectors cover the shoulders and knees.
- The elbow sliders are TPU. The knee sliders are TPU, attach with Velcro, and can be swapped out.
- Extra leather covers the shoulders, elbows, knees and hips, with foam pads at the elbows and knees.
- Main seams are sewn two or three times with strong nylon thread.
Construction Details
Outer Layer
- The outer shell is red and white cowhide, 1.2-1.3 mm thick, drum-dyed and milled.
- Accordion leather panels stretch at the lower back and knees when you tuck in.
- Cordura stretch panels in the sleeves, crotch and calves give you room to move.
- The sleeves are pre-curved for a riding position.
- Semi auto-lock YKK coil zippers close the front, cuffs and calves.
- Velcro straps at the neck, cuffs and calves tune the fit. The neoprene collar and cuffs feel soft.
Inner Layer
- A breathable mesh lining helps air flow on warm days.
- A mesh pocket sits inside on the left side of the chest.
- Silver snap buttons hold the pants on the 2-piece suit.

The base leather is cowhide that is 1.2-1.3 mm thick. It is drum-dyed, so the color goes through the hide, and milled, so it feels soft and bends well. If you want a different feel, you can pick Monaco leather or kangaroo leather when you order. Extra leather layers sit on the shoulders, elbows, knees and hips, where a rider tends to touch the ground in a slide.
