RACE SUIT TYPES
One-Piece Race Suit - the track choice. The jacket and pants are one piece, so nothing can ride up in a slide.
Two-Piece Suit - a jacket and pants joined by a zip. You can wear the jacket on its own on the road. The jacket or the pants can also be ordered alone.
Custom Size Race Suit - for riders outside standard sizes. The suit is cut to your own measurements.
BUYING GUIDANCE
What size should I choose? Start with the Size Guide. If you are between sizes, a custom size cut to your numbers is an option. How do I care for the leather? Condition it every 6 to 12 months. The leather care instructions explain how.
Leather Collection has made leather gear since 2009. Every suit is hand-stitched and made to order.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
A standard size follows the fixed size range on the Size Guide. A custom size is cut to your own body. You measure your chest, waist, sleeve, torso and inseam, then enter the numbers at order. Custom sizing helps riders who fall between sizes or want a close race fit. Every suit in this range offers both choices, and both are hand-stitched to order.
Each suit starts as 1.2-1.3 mm cowhide. At order you can keep cowhide or switch to Monaco or kangaroo leather. Cowhide feels firm and stands up well to wear. Kangaroo is lighter for its strength, which many track riders like. Monaco is a third choice between the two. Pick the leather that suits how and where you ride most.
Teams test their bikes in the winter before a new season. The looks riders wear at these tests often lead into the next year. That is why the 2022 winter test suits sit with the 2023 designs. You will find tests for Marc Marquez, Joan Mir, Jack Miller, Raul Fernandez and others. Each product page names the test and the year.
Wipe off dirt and bugs with a damp cloth after each track day. Let the suit dry on a wide hanger, away from heat and direct sun. Condition the leather every 6 to 12 months to keep it soft. Do not machine wash it or use harsh cleaners. Store it in a cool, dry place. If you have a question, reach the team through the customer service page.
You need your chest, waist, sleeve length, torso and inseam. Use a soft tape and keep it snug but not tight. The how to measure your size page shows where to place the tape for each number. Ask a friend to help, since some numbers are hard to take alone. If something is unclear, use the contact page to ask before you order.
