CE Level 2 is a rating under EN 1621-1, the European standard for shoulder, elbow and knee armor. Level 2 lets less force pass through than Level 1. In this jacket, the Level 2 pads sit at the shoulders and elbows and can be removed. The back protector is EN 1621-2 compatible, which is the standard for back armor. The outer shoulder protectors add a hard, carbon-reinforced shell.
The jacket uses black, cyan, fluorescent green and white. You can add a speed hump in Standard, Ventilated or Hydro, or leave it off. Perforation can go on the chest, the front or the whole jacket, for more air in summer. Matching gloves come in sizes XS to 3XL. Wipe the jacket with a damp, soft cloth after a ride to remove bugs and dust. Let it dry at room temperature, away from heaters and strong sun. Take the armor out before you clean the lining.
