FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
A standard size follows the Size Guide. A custom size is cut to your own chest, waist and sleeve length. Pick a custom size if you have broad shoulders, long arms or fall between sizes. It also helps if you plan to wear a thick sweater under the jacket. Both kinds are hand-stitched in cowhide and made to order, with the same lining choices.
Every jacket in this range is made from cowhide, about 0.9 to 1.0 mm thick. That weight is firm enough to block the wind, yet soft enough to move in. Most jackets come in black, and the shearling bomber comes in camel. The leather softens and shapes to you over time. Each jacket is hand-stitched once your order is placed.
Chest, waist and sleeve length are the three main numbers. Measure your chest at the fullest point and your waist at your natural waist line. Measure the sleeve from the center back of the neck, over the shoulder, to the wrist. The how to measure guide shows where to place the tape. Measure over a thin top so the numbers are right.
Yes. There are three lining choices. A regular lining is the simple option for daily wear. A printed lining lets you upload your own design, such as a pattern or a photo. You can also skip the lining for a lighter jacket. Add any notes for the maker in the order instructions box. If you are not sure which to pick, the customer service page can help.
Condition the leather every 6 to 12 months to keep the body and hood soft. Wipe off rain and dust with a soft, dry cloth. Hang the jacket on a wide padded hanger so the hood keeps its shape. Do not fold it into a tight space. Keep it away from heaters and strong sunlight, which can dry the leather. The leather care instructions give more tips.
