Yes. The CE Level 2 pads at the shoulders and elbows slide out. They meet EN 1621-1:2012, the European standard for arm and leg impact pads. The back protector also comes out, and it is EN 1621-2 compatible. The outer shoulder protectors and elbow sliders are fixed to the leather. Take the inner pads out when you clean the lining, and put them back before you ride.

First, take out the armor and the back protector. Wipe the cowhide with a soft, damp cloth to lift dust and bugs. Let it dry at room temperature, never next to a heater. Use a leather conditioner from time to time so the leather stays soft. Keep it out of strong sun to protect the red and white panels. Store it on a padded hanger.
