The cowhide is 1.2-1.3 mm thick. That is thick enough to resist scrapes in a slide, yet it still bends at the elbow and shoulder. The hide is drum-dyed, so the color soaks deep into the leather. It is then milled, a tumbling step that makes it softer. The sleeves add stretch Cordura panels, so you can reach the bars with ease.
On the outside, TPU-reinforced metal protectors sit on the shoulders. TPU sliders cover the elbows. They help the jacket slide instead of grip the road. On the inside, removable CE Level 2 pads sit at the shoulders and elbows, rated to EN 1621-1:2012. The back holds a removable protector that is EN 1621-2 compatible. Every pad comes out, so you can clean the mesh lining.
