Removable CE Level 2 armor sits at the shoulders and elbows. It is rated to EN 1621-1:2012. A removable back protector covers the spine and is made to fit EN 1621-2. On the outside, TPU-reinforced metal protectors cover the shoulders, and TPU sliders guard the elbows. You can take the armor out when you clean the jacket, then put it back before you ride.
The jacket is made from cowhide that is 1.2 to 1.3 mm thick. That is a common thickness for track gear. The leather is drum-dyed, so the black, sky blue and white colors go deep into the hide. On a sport bike, your arms bend forward to reach the bars. Pre-curved sleeves are cut in that bent shape. This means the sleeves do not pull or bunch when you ride. Your elbows also stay lined up with the armor and sliders. Off the bike, the sleeves look slightly bent, which is normal for a racing jacket.

A speed hump is a raised shape on the upper back. When you tuck in on a fast straight, it fills the gap behind your helmet so air flows more smoothly. You can choose no hump, a standard hump, a ventilated hump or a hydro hump. If you mostly ride on the street, no hump is fine. Track riders often pick the standard or ventilated hump.
