The knuckle protector is metal reinforced with carbon. It sits over the knuckles, the part of the hand that often hits first in a fall. The hard shell spreads the force over a wider area. Under the palm, thumb and fingers, TPU sliders on poly-foam help the glove slide on the road. Together they guard both the back and the front of the hand.
The shell is 0.8-0.9 mm cowhide. That is thin enough to feel the throttle and brake, yet tough on the road. An extra panel between the thumb and index finger adds strength at the grip. Your hand curls when it holds the bars. Pre-curved fingers and a pre-curved palm follow that shape. This means less bunching of leather and less strain on long rides. It also helps the gloves feel ready to ride from day one. When your hand is flat, the fingers may look a little bent. That is how they are made.
Sizes run from XS to 3XL for men and women. Measure around your hand at the knuckles, not counting the thumb. Then compare it with the size chart. Wipe the gloves with a soft dry cloth after each ride. Let them dry at room temperature, away from heaters and sun. Rub in a little leather conditioner every few months, then buff. Remove sweat or rain marks with a damp cloth first. Never machine wash the gloves. Store them flat in a breathable bag. The leather care instructions have more tips.
