Freddie Spencer 19 Honda & Yamaha Championship Years
Freddie Spencer, known as Fast Freddie, is an American motorcycle racer. He was born on December 20, 1961, in Shreveport, Louisiana. He began racing dirt track at age four. In 1978 he won the 250cc U.S. National Novice road racing title. He then signed with American Honda to race in the AMA Superbike series, and he gave Honda its first superbike win at Road America.
By 1982 he raced full time for Honda in the 500cc Grand Prix class. In 1983 he won the 500cc world title at age 21. That made him the youngest champion in the class at the time. Marc Marquez broke that record in 2013.
Today he lives in London and works as a TV race commentator. In 2019 he became chairman of the FIM MotoGP™ Stewards Panel.

These replicas are hand-stitched in cowhide, 1.2 to 1.3 mm thick, and made to order. Race suits offer cowhide, Monaco or kangaroo leather at order. Suits and jackets also offer a custom size, a speed hump and a perforation choice. Add-ons for suits include a removable thermal lining and an extra knee slider.

The replicas cover his racing from 1983 to 1991. That includes his 1983 Honda title year, the 1985 Daytona season and the 1986 Rothmans Honda colors. There are also Nankai Honda, Yamaha and Ducati AMA styles. Most pieces use white, red and blue. Compare the photos of each suit, then pick the year you like most. The season table lists his bike and team for each year.
Race suits come in cowhide as standard, 1.2 to 1.3 mm thick. At order, you can switch to Monaco or kangaroo leather. Kangaroo is light for its strength, so a suit made from it feels less heavy on the bike. Cowhide is firmer and a little heavier. If the suit is mostly for display or for road use, cowhide is often all you need. If you ride on track a lot, the lighter kangaroo may suit you better.
A one-piece suit joins the jacket and pants into one garment. There is no gap at the waist, which is why many track riders like it. A two-piece suit lets you wear the jacket and pants apart, so the jacket also works on the street. Each Spencer suit can be ordered as a one-piece, a two-piece, or as a jacket or pants alone. You can also add a speed hump at order.
Yes. The jackets carry bright vintage race colors, such as red, white and blue Honda styles. They stand out at bike meets, races and club events. The cut is close and the sleeves curve forward for a riding position, so the fit feels snug when you stand. If you plan to wear it most days, pick Custom Size for a little more room. The customer service page can help if you are unsure.
Pick Custom Size when you order. You then send your chest, waist, hips, sleeve, inseam and torso length. The suit or jacket is cut and hand-stitched to those numbers. The how to measure guide shows where to place the tape. Measure over thin clothes, and ask a friend to help with your back and sleeves. Check your numbers twice before you send them.
