The standard suit uses cowhide leather that is 1.2–1.3 mm thick. It is drum-dyed, so the color goes deep into the hide. It is also milled, or tumbled, to make it softer. You can switch to Monaco or kangaroo leather when you order. Kangaroo is a thin, light hide. Each panel is stitched by hand. Stretch panels at the back and knees help the suit bend with you.
The suit holds removable CE Level 2 armor at the shoulders, elbows, knees and hips. This armor meets EN 1621-1:2012, the European standard for limb armor. Level 2 lets less force through than Level 1. A removable back protector is EN 1621-2 compatible. Outside, replaceable TPU knee sliders take the wear when you lean into a turn. You can order an extra knee slider as an add-on.
