The vest has a slim fit, so it sits close to your body. Side straps let you make it a little looser or tighter at the waist. It fits well over a T-shirt, a button shirt or a thin sweater. If you plan to wear it over a thick layer, compare your sizes with the size chart and think about going up one size.
You can wear it as a top layer, but it is a fashion vest. It has no armor and no padding. The cowhide is 0.9-1.0 mm thick, which keeps it light and soft for daily wear. If you want riding protection, wear a riding jacket with armor under the vest. On its own, it suits casual days, evenings out and weekend trips.
You can choose No Lining, Regular Lining or Sublimated Lining. The regular lining is smooth satin. No lining makes the vest lighter and cooler in summer. A sublimated lining is printed with a design, and you can upload your own picture or pattern when you order. The two interior pockets are part of the vest whichever lining you choose.
Wipe the vest with a soft, dry cloth after you wear it. Use a leather conditioner now and then to keep the cowhide soft and stop it from cracking. Work it gently into the braided parts too.
