The base leather is 1.2-1.3 mm cowhide. It is drum-dyed and milled, which makes it soft and keeps its color even. You can switch to Monaco leather or kangaroo leather when you order. Kangaroo is a thin, light leather that many track riders like. The suit is cut only after you order, so you get the leather you chose.
Removable CE Level 2 armor sits at the shoulders, elbows, knees and hips. It meets EN 1621-1:2012. A removable back protector is EN 1621-2 compatible. Outside, TPU-reinforced metal protectors cover the shoulders and knees. TPU sliders sit on the elbows. The knee sliders are TPU too and attach with Velcro, so you can swap them when they wear down.
