Buying Guidance
How do I order a race replica? Measure your chest, waist, sleeve and torso, then compare with the Size Guide. Can I get a custom fit? Yes. Suits and jackets offer a Custom Size option. See Made to Measure.
Most designs are one or two piece race suits. There are also leather jackets and a pair of vintage gloves. Suit orders can add matching gloves and boots. Each piece is hand-stitched in cowhide and made to order. For a street jacket in Yamaha colors, see the Biaggi Marlboro Yamaha 2001 jacket
. It carries the same 2001 colors as the race suit.
Measure your chest, waist, sleeve, inseam and torso at home. The measuring guide shows where to place the tape. Pick Custom Size on the suit page and enter your numbers. The suit is then cut and hand-stitched to them. Stand straight and wear thin clothes while you measure. A snug race fit should not pinch at the shoulders or knees when you tuck in.
Pick the team and season you like most. The early Aprilia designs from 1994 to 1996 come from his Grand Prix years. The 1997 Honda and 2001 Marlboro Yamaha suits show his moves between teams. The 2004 Camel Honda design comes from MotoGP. The 2007 Suzuki and 2012 Aprilia suits come from World Superbike. Each one is a replica of the colors from that year.
Yes, on the race suits. Each suit design lets you choose cowhide, Monaco or kangaroo leather when you order. Cowhide is the standard hide, cut about 1.2 to 1.3 mm thick. Kangaroo is thinner and lighter for its strength. The jackets and gloves come in cowhide. Check the leather choices on each product page before you place your order.
Wipe off dirt and bugs with a soft, damp cloth after each ride. Let the suit dry slowly at room temperature, away from heaters. Condition the leather every 6 to 12 months so it stays soft. Never machine wash or dry clean it. Hang it on a wide hanger in a cool, dry place. The leather care instructions explain each step.
