Leon Haslam Racing Gloves
Team Livery Race Gloves

The gloves in this range follow the colors of his 2012 BMW season. The Leon Haslam 2012 BMW gloves use blue and white panels on the back of the hand. Each pair is made to order, so nothing sits in a warehouse. Leather Collection has made leather gear since 2009.

Every glove is cut from 0.8-0.9 mm cowhide. It has flexible knuckle protection, palm and finger sliders, and a strong panel between the thumb and index finger. Pre-curved fingers and a Velcro wrist strap help keep the glove in place. Rubber panels cover the high-wear spots on the back of the hand.

Sizes run XS to 3XL in a standard fit. These gloves are not cut to custom measurements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Wrap a soft tape around your hand at the knuckles, but leave the thumb out. Note the number and compare it with the size guide. Sizes run XS to 3XL, and there is no custom size for these gloves. A race glove should feel snug when new. The leather softens a little as you wear it. If you sit between two sizes, think about how you ride. A closer fit gives better feel on the bars, while a looser fit is easier to pull on.
Each glove has flexible knuckle protection over the back of the hand. Sliders on poly-foam sit on the palm and fingers. A strong panel joins the thumb and index finger, where a glove often wears first. Rubber panels add cover to the high-wear spots on top. The Velcro wrist strap helps keep the glove on your hand. All of this is stitched into 0.8-0.9 mm cowhide, so the glove stays light.
Your hands stay bent around the bars for most of a ride. Pre-curved fingers follow that shape, so the leather does not fight your grip. This can make your hands feel less tired on a long day. It also means the glove may feel a little odd when your hand is flat. That is normal for a race glove. The curve settles in after a few rides as the cowhide shapes to your hand.
Wipe the outside with a damp cloth after each ride to remove dirt and bugs. Let the gloves dry slowly at room temperature, never on a heater. Once they are dry, rub in a little leather conditioner so the cowhide stays soft. Do not wash them in a machine. Store them flat or on a shelf, not crushed in a bag. The leather care instructions explain more ways to look after them.
