FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

EN 1621-1:2012 is the European test for impact armor in riding clothes. Level 2 armor lets less force pass through than Level 1 in that test. This suit has removable Level 2 armor at the shoulders, elbows, knees and hips. The removable back protector is EN 1621-2 compatible, which is the separate test for back armor. You can take the armor out to clean the suit.
Yes. You can pick a 1-piece suit, a 2-piece suit, the jacket only or the pants only. On the 2-piece suit, silver snap buttons hold the pants in place. A 2-piece is handy if you want to wear the jacket on its own. To compare more designs, browse the 2-piece race suits range. Each suit there is hand-stitched to order.
At 1.2 to 1.3 mm, the cowhide is thick enough for track use, yet still soft enough to bend with you. Drum-dyeing and milling make the leather more supple. Stretch panels in the crotch, calves, underarms and lower back add more room to move. If you want a different hide, you can pick Monaco or kangaroo leather when you order.
Yes, with the right options. At checkout, you can add perforation to the chest, the front or the full suit. The small holes let more air through the leather. A ventilated speed hump is also offered. The standard mesh lining is light and breathable. For cooler days, you can add a thermal removable lining instead and take it out when it gets warm.
After each ride, wipe the leather with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and bugs. Let it dry in the air, away from heaters and strong sun. Every few months, rub in a leather conditioner to keep it soft. Store the suit on a wide, padded hanger. The leather care instructions have more tips.
