A one-piece suit has no gap between jacket and pants. Many track riders like it for that reason. A two-piece suit splits at the waist, with silver snaps on the pants. The base leather is 1.2-1.3 mm cowhide. It is drum-dyed and milled, which makes it soft and even in color. You can also choose Monaco or kangaroo leather when you order. Kangaroo leather is thinner and lighter than cowhide. Many riders pick it to save weight. Cowhide is thicker and feels stiff at first. It softens as you wear it. Pick the one that suits how you ride.
Wipe the suit with a soft, dry cloth after each ride. If it gets wet, let it dry at room temperature. Keep it away from heaters and strong sun. Use a leather conditioner every few months so the cowhide stays soft. Take out the armor before you clean the lining. Check the stitching and sliders now and then. Store the suit on a wide hanger.
