Two layers do the work. Inside, removable CE Level 2 armor sits in pockets at the shoulders and elbows. It meets EN 1621-1:2012. Outside, TPU-reinforced metal protectors cover the shoulders. TPU sliders cover the elbows and help the jacket slide on the road instead of grabbing it. A removable back protector, EN 1621-2 compatible, covers the spine.
Perforation means rows of small holes in the leather. They let air pass through the jacket while you ride. You can choose no holes, holes on the chest, holes across the front or full perforation. Full perforation is the coolest choice for hot summer days. No perforation keeps more wind out on cool mornings. The mesh lining helps air move either way.
