Yes. The bottom edge is left raw on purpose. Put the chaps on with your riding boots. Sit on your bike, or bend your knees, and mark where you want the hem. Then cut along the mark with sharp scissors. Cut a little at a time, since you cannot add length back. Cowhide does not fray, so the cut edge stays neat. The snap cuffs still close above the cut.
The zippers are YKK with an antique brass finish. The snap buttons and the buckle are antique brass as well. This warm brass color matches the antique brown leather. Wipe the chaps with a soft, dry cloth after each ride. If they get wet, let them dry at room temperature, away from heaters. Use a leather conditioner every few months so the cowhide stays soft.
