The gloves are made from 0.8–0.9 mm cowhide leather with a plain finish. This is thinner than the leather on a race suit. Thin leather lets you feel the throttle and the brake lever. Cowhide is still tough, so it holds up to daily use. Extra leather covers the area between your thumb and index finger, where the glove rubs on the grip most.
Carbon reinforced metal protectors guard the back of the hand. TPU sliders on foam sit on the palm, thumb and fingers. TPU is a tough, flexible plastic. The knuckles are flexible, so you can still close your hand around the grip. Inside, an aramid (Kevlar) lining adds a layer under the leather. A Velcro strap and cuff hold each glove on at the wrist.
Your hand curls when it holds the grip and the brake lever. Pre-curved fingers are sewn in that shape. This means the glove does not fight your grip on a long ride. There is also less loose leather at the knuckles. Your hands may tire less as a result. Many race leather motorcycle gloves use this shape for the same reason.
Sizes run from XS to 3XL. The gloves fit both men and women. Wrap a soft tape around your palm, just below the knuckles, and leave out the thumb. Then compare the number with the size chart. If you are between two sizes, pick the larger one. You can add any note about fit in the Order Instructions box.
After each ride, wipe the gloves with a dry cloth to remove dust and salt. For a deeper clean, use a soft brush and a little mild leather soap. Do not soak them. Let the gloves dry at room temperature, away from heaters and strong sun. Once dry, rub in a little leather conditioner every few months. More tips are in the leather care instructions.
