Born on May 5, 1994, Hafizh Syahrin bin Abdullah is a Malaysian motorcycle racer who will compete with MIE Honda in the WorldSBK in 2022. He made history in 2018 by being the first Southeast Asian to compete in the MotoGP class.
Hafizh Syahrin was raised in Selangor, Malaysia, where he was born on May 5, 1994. At nine years old, he started his career in pocket bikes, earning the moniker "King of Pocket Bikes" in the process. Soon after making his racing debut on pocket motorcycles the following year, his skill started to emerge. Soon after, he dominated the pocket bike market. Leong happened to stumble across him on one of the tracks.
Hafizh made his Cub Prix championship debut in 2007 at the age of 13, finishing second overall in his maiden year in the Yamaha LC135 Cup class.
