FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The heel and the toe are reinforced, so they hold their shape if your foot is hit. A TPU ankle guard covers the ankle bone. TPU is a firm plastic that spreads the force of a knock. A heavy-duty rubber pad sits where the gear shifter rubs, so the leather does not wear through. The sole is rubber and resists slips and oil.
Cowhide is a strong, thick leather. Here it is 1.2 to 1.5 mm thick. That gives good resistance to scrapes if you slide, but the boot can still bend at the ankle. The laminated finish adds a smooth top layer. It helps the green color stay even and makes the leather easy to wipe clean after a ride. The panels are hand-stitched, and every pair is made to order for you.
These boots come in sizes from EU 36 (US 4.5) to EU 46 (US 12). One size run fits both men and women. Measure your foot from heel to longest toe, in the evening when your feet are a little larger. Then compare the length with the size chart. Ask through the customer service page if you are unsure.
Yes. The toe sliders are made to be swapped. When you lean into a turn, the outer toe can touch the road. The slider takes that wear, so the green cowhide stays whole. Once a slider gets thin, take it off and fit a new one. Check them often if you ride hard in turns, and keep a spare pair at home.
Wipe off dust and road dirt with a soft, damp cloth after each ride. Let the boots dry at room temperature, away from a heater or direct sun. Heat can dry out the leather and make it crack. A light leather conditioner now and then keeps the cowhide soft. Keep the zipper clean so it runs smoothly. The leather care page has more tips.
