FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What should I consider when choosing shoes for motorcycle racing?
When selecting shoes for motorcycle racing like MotoGP, comfort, support, and protection are key. You want a shoe that fits snugly without being too tight. Look for features such as reinforced toes and strong materials that protect your feet. Breathability is also important since it helps keep your feet cool during races. Additionally, choose shoes that have excellent grip for better control of your bike. Finally, make sure the shoes comply with safety standards to keep you protected while riding.
Are there special footwear options for kids interested in MotoGP?
Yes, there are special footwear options for kids who are fans of MotoGP. These shoes are designed to provide safety and comfort, just like adult versions. Look for shoes with features such as toe protection and good ankle support. These shoes help young riders stay safe when they are riding their bikes. Colors and designs inspired by MotoGP teams make them fun and stylish for kids. Always check the fit, so they can ride comfortably!
How do I properly care for my motorcycle footwear?
Taking good care of your motorcycle footwear is important for longevity. Start by cleaning the shoes after each ride to remove dirt or dust. You can use a damp cloth and mild soap for most materials. Make sure to air dry your shoes instead of using heat. If your footwear is made of leather, consider using a leather conditioner to keep the material soft. Storing them in a cool, dry place will also help maintain their shape and prevent odors over time.
What makes MotoGP footwear different from regular shoes?
MotoGP footwear is specially designed for motorcycle racing and has features that regular shoes do not. They are made from durable materials that resist wear and tear. Also, they have reinforced areas such as the toe and heel to provide extra protection. The soles of racing shoes are typically designed for grip on motorcycle pedals, improving control. These shoes are often taller to support the ankles, helping to prevent injuries. Together, these elements make them safer for racing than ordinary footwear.
What size should I choose for motorcycle shoes?
Choosing the right size for motorcycle shoes is crucial for comfort and safety. It's best to measure your feet in the afternoon when they are likely to be at their largest. Start by measuring the length and width of both feet, as they can be different sizes. When trying on shoes, wear the same socks you plan to use while riding. Make sure you have enough room to wiggle your toes but that the shoe doesn't feel loose. Correctly sized shoes help prevent blisters and provide better control while riding.

After waiting for this Saddle Shoulder Leather Jacket to go on sale. I finally got it at 20% off! This has been one of the best leather jackets I have ever bought. The leather softens quick so you don't feel like you are in a space suit. The zippers are holding up and the seams are still together. I am tough on clothes yet it is holding up to my abuse.

I love this jacket and will be wearing it everywhere (whether on or off the bike!) all winter! It's beautiful and very comfortable and makes me feel more protected on the bike. I'm a 5'3" size 4 but with wide shoulders and long arms and the M fits perfect. All of the vents are great too. Went for a ride in upper 70's without the liner and all of the vents open and it was heaven! Love, love leather collection!

This seems an excellent suit for the price. Since I am not a serious racer, I have tried/purchased suits on the low-end price range. I also have an Leathercollection CR ($549 sale price), size 42 fitting quite appropriately snug (see my review of this suit...). Material and stitching seem top notch. Suit is also breathable, great in warmer-weather riding. Sizing chart is a size too large - I'm 6'1" very slim 32" waist, 165lb, 38" chest. I started with a 46 and had to return it for a 44. Pretty satisfied with it, except it looks a little funny from the back #as many race suits do#. There is a lot of extra material - suit fits very snug around the ankles up to the thigh, across the abs and chest, and zipped up around the neck. But it bulges huge in the back around the hips, waist, and up through the back hump. The material tents on the back, making me look like I'm wearing a backpack from my shoulders to just below my gluteus. It's a little amusing how much more exaggerated this is than other suits I have seen. As seen in the pictures, though, it is VERY sharp from the front. Make sure if you win races or take pictures that you face the camera! This suit compares quite nicely with the aforementioned Leathercollection. The lack of removable liner is made up by extremely sharp frontal appearance, double zipper #from top and from bottom#, and lower price. Please note that because the liner is not removable, you may wish to consider a riding suit to absorb sweat and/or body oils. The two piece or one piece Leathercollection suits are ideal, but a simple, snug-fitting cotton blend pant/shirt combination may work just great.
